Message from the Principal
Dear Families,
Welcome to Kellyville Upper Elementary! We are honored to partner with you in supporting your child’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development. At Kellyville Upper Elementary, we strive to create an environment where students are encouraged to think critically, develop confidence, build meaningful relationships, and achieve their highest potential.
Our dedicated educators are committed to building strong, positive relationships with students while providing engaging and rigorous instruction in the core academic areas of reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and science. In addition, our enrichment teachers provide valuable opportunities for students to explore their interests and talents through music, expanded reading, and physical education. Together, we work to prepare our students to become well-rounded, responsible, and compassionate individuals who are equipped to make meaningful contributions to the future of Kellyville's community and other communities alike.
While we strive to help every student become a successful, lifelong learner, we also recognize and celebrate the uniqueness of each child. Kellyville Upper Elementary is committed to providing differentiated instruction within an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Our goal is to meet students where they are, provide the support and challenges they need, and empower each child to reach their fullest potential.
We believe that academic success is strengthened by strong character. Each month, our school highlights a specific character trait, such as respect, resilience, or integrity. Teachers recognize students who consistently demonstrate these qualities and nominate them for our Character of the Month recognition. We also celebrate students who demonstrate exceptional character, kindness, leadership, or other noteworthy actions through our Student of the Month recognition. These celebrations allow us to acknowledge and encourage the positive choices and contributions our students make each day.
Above all, we believe in the power of community. At Kellyville Upper Elementary, we value strong, lasting partnerships not only with our students, but also with their parents, guardians, and members of our community. We believe that when schools, families, and communities work together, we create the strongest foundation for children to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education and development of your children. We look forward to working together to make this a successful and rewarding year for every student at Kellyville Upper Elementary.
Sincerely,
Melanie Fees, Principal
